Hosanna's Adult Ministry

Your welcome to join in a number of Adult Ministry and Bible Study Opportunities:

Music: Hosanna Choir

God loves to hear us sing our praises to Him.  The Hosanna Choir is a wonderful way to lift voices in praise of the Lord. It’s also a great way to experience “family” and the friendships of Hosanna. They share their gift of song with the Hosanna family at the 8:00 am services most Sundays through the fall and winter. The choir meets every Wednesday at 7:00 pm in the Sanctuary.

Contact John Snyder at js88keys@aol.com to join the choir and make music for God and His family.

Hospitality Committee

Do you enjoy greeting new people? Or baking banana bread?  Maybe you enjoy writing cards?   Do you have a knack for making others feel at home?  Hosanna's Hospitality Committee has numerous opportunities for Hosanna members to become involved based on the areas that you feel you are most gifted.  Please contact info@hosanna-lcms.com or call (480) 984-1414 for more information.

Hosanna's Sew Giving

Hosanna's Sew Giving group meets on Mondays, twice a month, to make beautiful quilts and gifts for local places in need.  They are such a blessing!

Bible Studies

God's Word transforms us like clay in the potter's hands.

There are a variety of Bible Study options available throughout the week.

Cross Walk: Sunday Mornings

Crosswalk begins at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings, between services.  In the Learning Center we're going through the Bible together with a early childhood class, elementary class, Jr. & Sr. High Bible Study, and an adult Bible Study with Pastor Nick.  Pastor Paul also offers an adult Bible Study in the Sanctuary during this time.

Wednesdays in the Word

Wednesday Nights will begin with a dinner 5:30 p.m. (A free-will offering).  Our Adult Bible Study, Youth Group, and Lutheranism 101 Classes met from 6-7:30 p.m.

Thursday Morning Bible Study

The Thursday Morning Bible Study (doesn’t this group need a cooler name?) meets from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.  This class, led by Pastor Paul, is in the upper room of the Learning Center.

Lutheranism 101

Our “New Member Class” (and Current Member Class too). We will explore the basics of what we preach, teach, and believe as Hosanna Lutheran Church, and as a part of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. 1Peter 3:15 says, “Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.” How does one get prepared to give an answer when someone asks about your faith, what you believe and why? LUTHERANISM 101 is a great review for our current members, and it’s the route to joining our membership for those who are new to Hosanna and to the Lutheran understanding of the Christian faith. We will explore Luther’s Small Catechism and the Bible as we discuss the things we believe, live, and practice as Lutheran Christians. This class is led by Pastor Paul.

FREE CHILD CARE is available during class time.

Classes are from 6:00-7:30 p.m. and will run for approximately 8 to 9 weeks.

If you would like to join us for this class please RSVP to info@hosanna-lcms.com or call the church office at (480)984-1414.
